DENR-7 to culminate environment month celebration

CEBU CITY, June 28 (PIA) --- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 7 will hold a culmination activity of the 2012 Philippine environment month celebration on Friday, June 29, at El Dorado Gym, Banilad, Mandaue City. 

Organized by the DENR 7, the activity will be highlighted by a presentation and awarding of 22 environmental and natural resources (ENR) partners and collaborators, awarding of sportsfest and pinoy games winners, retirees and loyalty awardees. 

“We want to sustain our meaningful partnership and collaboration with our ENR partners in pursuing our mandate in protecting, conserving and managing our environment while we recognize them in our culmination of the environment month,” said DENR 7 Regional Executive Director Dr. Isabelo Montejo. 

He added that the occasion will help strengthen and renew the existing positive relationships with the various key players towards environmental campaign and advocacy. 

During the event, 121 certificates of appreciation and DENR silver anniversary commemorative mugs will be handed out to employees who have been with the service for more than 25 years. 

Montejo said that DENR Secretary Ramon JP Paje reaffirms the his pledge to sustain his commitment to work in partnership with all sectors and give priority attention to the fight against conditions that threaten the sustainable development of the people. (RMN/HFG-PIA7, DENR7)
