DTI Cebu offers free seminar on Enterprise Dev’t on May 24

CEBU CITY, May 17 (PIA) –- Those who want to start their own businesses are urged to avail of the free seminar on Enterprise Development by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Cebu Provincial Office on Thursday next week, May 24. 

A monthly undertaking, the four-hour Enterprise Development Seminar (EDS) for micro, small and medium enterprises will focus on entrepreneurship strategies to assist startup entrepreneurs or those aspiring to become one on how to take off their business. 

Aristotle Cabagnat, trade and industry development specialist of DTI-Cebu, said they can only accommodate between 30 to 35 participants as he called on interested participants to immediately call their office at telephone numbers (032) 253-2631/412-1863. 

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) which account to over 90 percent of the total businesses in the country significantly contribute to the Philippine economy, providing a large volume of employment. 

The national government, on the other hand, is bent on creating more entrepreneurs to fuel the national economy as the DTI provides various seminars to spruce up domestic investments. 

In Manila, the DTI’s Bureau of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (DTI-BMSMED) is providing free seminars for startup entrepreneurs in their own training room. 

Among the upcoming seminars being provided are ‘How to Prepare a Business Plan and Orientation on Shelf Life Testing and Nutrition Labeling on May 22 and Product Trends and Design and Expanding One's Business Through Online Marketing on the 29th of this month.
