RAFI to hold forum on regional urban development

Cebu City, March 29. (PIA) --- The Eduardo Aboitiz Development Studies Center of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) will hold a two-part series of its first quarter Understanding Choices Forum (UCF) on March 30 at Bryant George Hall of the Eduardo Aboitiz Development Studies Center, Lopez Jaena St. Cebu City.

The first part of the forum starts at 8:30 a.m. and is entitled “Urban Development and Governance: Risks and Opportunities- Learning from other cities in Asia.”

The second part of the forum is a roundtable discussion  that starts at 1:30 p.m. with the topic, ”Urban Development-Mega Cebu series” and is exclusive for Metro Cebu Development and Management Board members.

The roundtable discussion is organized in collaboration with the Southeast Asian-German Forum for Urban Futures (ForUm) through the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)-7.

The ForUm is a network of experts and professionals in the field of urban planning and development.

It provides a platform for exchange of concepts, researches and application-oriented results between and among Southeast Asian and German universities and institutions through regular summer schools and expert seminars on urbanization and urban development.

The Understanding Choices Forum on the other hand is a program of the Leadership & Citizenship focus area of RAFI. (PIA-7/JSM)
