CEBU, September
25 (PIA) --- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources
(DENR-7) sent two notices with a period of 15 days or until September
30 to present proof of ownership of more than 30 threatened wildlife
species seized during a joint regular monitoring in Barangay Kotkot, Liloan,
Cebu recently.
DENR-7 regional executive director Dr.
Isabelo Montejo said the office issued a notice for a certain Aristotle
Binabaye, owner of the eight heads of assorted bird species to provide papers
or permits on each individual species and another notice to the unknown owner
of the 23 bird species and a long-tailed juvenile Philippine Macaque or monkey.
